Stupid Ad of the Week

Nutrisystem has a commercial that has to have one of the stupidest lines I’ve heard in a while. They show the before and after photos and some lady (the skinny one) is talking about how great her life is now that Nutrisystem made her skinny. Then she says this:
Nutrisystem helped me from a size 12 to a size 2…not once, but 2 times.
Wait a second. I am not a doctor, but I would not call any diet “system” that helps you lose 10 sizes 2 different times a success. Wouldn’t a really kick ass diet system help you lose the 10 sizes just once…and then teach you how to stay there?
Do they give a free yo-yo to the first 100 callers after the commercial runs?

That is simply horrible. If I wanted this type of product that line would completely turn me off to the product. They probably figure people are looking at the pretty pictures and not listening to the sales pitch anyhow.

That’s bullshit. Maybe it it helped her 5 times I’d consider using it. 2? That’s baby stuff.

I’m with Leopold. I wanna drop ten dress sizes at least once a year…maybe twice if I get some coupons with that yo-yo.
Then my quote could be:
“Nutrisystem put me on the road to getting into a size 4 over and over again. It’s like leaving your ass in Florida for the winter and the getting it back in time for Easter.”

Bonnie, you might be on to something there. But, I would drop the weight in the summer and then put it back for the cold winters. Kind of like those removable liners on winter coats.
