I won a major award – It must be Italian

by kalbzayn on February 17, 2007

I entered a story in the Write Stuff Creative Carnival for February…and won.  It doesn’t look like I’ll be receiving any leg lamps any time soon, but I will be getting a copy of Stephen King’s On Writing which I’ve been planning to read for nearly 1000 years.  I’m so excited.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ve already read the story.  It was my Valentine’s one.  Go over to Write Stuff and question their ability to judge contests.  Then go visit each of the other entrants sites, read their stories and console them by pointing out that the judges over at Write Stuff were clearly drinking too much wine or bribed.

Also, be sure to go visit Write Stuff to keep track of the March contest.  The deadline for that one is March 15, but they have not provided the prompt.  I think to normally do that on the 1st of the month but I might be wrong about that.  Go ask them.  They’ll tell you.

Anyway, you are now reading the blog of an award winning author.  I promise not to let it go to my head.  I congratulate you on your great taste.

I liked that a lot. Nice job and congratulations. I enjoyed Stephen King’s On Writing and I hope you do as well.

I’m pretty excited about my prize. But, it probably could have been the Oprah Bookclub selection of the month and I probably would still be excited and read it. After all, it’s not everyday I win a major award.
