Moby wrote a post recently called advice to aspiring musicians. A lot of the advice could work for anything that somebody wants to get good at, writing included.

I think the 3rd tip in particular is awesome. I might have to print that one out and stick it next to my computer screen when I get a chance to build my new writing cave.
